Thanks for stopping by to visit the BiBNT’s new-look website. Feel free to park your internet surfboard for awhile and discover what we have on offer.
We set out to create a social meeting place for English- and French-speaking business people in the Toulouse area of southwest France. A place online to complement our meetings and events offline – I think we’re off to a pretty good start.
First thing to note is the ‘Leave a Reply’ section you’ll find at the bottom of each post. Here you can add your comments and opinions and share your suggestions to help your fellow members. Conversation obviously is great for networking. The more you participate, the more you’ll benefit.
(Just so you know, comments are moderated on this site – not to police what you have to say but simply to stop those dreadful internet spammers who may want to trick you into visiting a site that you probably wouldn’t want to.)
Underneath the logo you’ll find a link to our Calendar. You can use this as a quick reminder for when something is happening, or to mark your own calendar so that you don’t miss any member events and meetings. Upcoming events are also listed in the middle column of each page for easy reference.
If you are searching for something in particular – maybe contact details for one of our members or an interesting article – just use the search box in the top right hand corner of your screen.
If you are just browsing and wondering what to read next, you can use the handy suggestions offered in the ‘Tag Cloud’ in the bottom right hand corner of the page. The larger the text the more often that subject has been mentioned on the site.
In the the middle column you’ll find an area where you can subscribe to be notified of important BiBNT news and events information. In fact, why not skip over there and do that right now? Enter simply your name and email and then click on your back button to return to this page. A confirmation will be sent to your inbox (again just to protect you from spammers) and you can confirm your subscription next time you visit your email programme (remember to check your junk folder if you don’t see the email immediately).
For those of you who like to share good information that you find on the internet, there are buttons linking to the most popular social networking sites at the bottom of each post. The more you share, the more your network will grow.
Details about all of our member businesses can be found in the categories listed under the Members link at top. If you would like to add any information about your services simply let us know using either the comments section below (public) or via the Contact link under our logo (private).
For a little feedback from site visitors, we’ve added a survey form in the right-hand column. One easy question at a time. This is just another way to make sure we deliver what people really want from their BiBNT membership, so click away (the current results will show). We’ll change the question from time to time and if you have any suggestions feel free to send them along using the Contact page.
The categories along the top of the page are pretty self explanatory. Whenever any member has news to share or activities and events to promote – make sure you tell us about it so we can help you spread the word.
Visit the site often as our Feature stories will include member profiles – a great way to learn more about your BiBNT friends and you can visit our Articles section for helpful information from members. (Submit any articles that you’d like published using the Contact form or email them to ronald@bibnt.com.) Don’t forget to add your comments, opinions and feedback or to share the information with other networks.
Just so you know, we’ve got some pretty helpful internet tools working away in the background on your behalf – particularly for optimising the information you provide for search engines. This is of great value for members and the more you participate and share, the more you’ll actually be promoting yourself, your company and the association. Free publicity is priceless I always say!
For those of you who would like to have more visibility for your company, we’ve provided an area for paid sponsorship (right-hand column). Not only are these sponsor spaces an affordable promotion method in an expensive internet world, but as we’re a not for profit association, any money received goes straight back in to association costs or event promotion and helps us keep membership fees low.
